Boat speaker upgrades...Infinity 652M...replace the 612?

My 270 has the factory speakers in it still I believe and I want to upgrade the sound a lil bit. I bought a new receiver and remotes last year, but the speakers aren't up to the task. I see everyone likes the Infinity 612's, looks like they have been replaced by the 652M. Anyone have these or recommend a good speaker set around $100. Not looking for wake boat radio set ups, just something a lil louder than the stockers.

I put the Alpine SPS-M601's in my boat. The factory Clarion speakers had rotted from the elements, so they made a huge improvement. Some of the other boaters at my dock liked them and they got the same ones.

65 bucks for a pair seems pretty decent if they are better than the stock? U have one or two that are rotting out, so this would work great.

I put the Polk audio 6.5's in my 270 now i'm going to to put 6 of them in my 342 this spring. Do have to drill new holes for mounting screws but the 6.25 inch hole is perfect Image result for polk marine speakers 65Image result for polk marine speakers 65db651   about $60 a pair.

Ive been very happy with my 612M, and the 652 look better IMO, but they are almost identical specs. Probably just an update and no major changes.

X2 on the Polk audio that @reneechris14 stated. I have 6 of those on my boat and they are awesome. They also have 6X9s DB691 to match that I am looking to get this summer.

Hmmmm....this thread has got me thinking. Stereo and speaker replacement is on my to-do list, but not currently at the top. If I could find speakers like these anywhere in Canada for that kind of money I'd do it in an instant. Best price I can find here for the Alpine 601's is around $170 to my door. Even taking exchange into account we're getting hosed.
