Parts for a 1995 mercruiser 7.4 big block. Does anyone know of a place online where to order parts?

My mechanic says you have to be a dealer to order parts from mercruiser, does anyone know if there is a quality parts supplier where if I need a belt, or fuel pump, anything, where I can order online, have it shipped to me and I self install? I get tired of having a simple problem then going without my boat for 2 months, then I get it back and there are 3 new things wrong with it. My mechanic always blames it on the "wiring", but usually after her works on my boat, I mysteriously find 2 or 3 broken wires.

If you have the engine serial number, you can use the Mercury Parts finder do get part numbers, then google the numbers to source them.

Have purchased belts, pumps/ water and gas, and other parts at local NAPA auto parts. They seem to have good parts.  Don't know about broken wires. ?
